The LAMBDA GAS ECOLOGIC SYSTEM (DL401) is full based on microprocessor and enables to set the air/fuel ratio on different engine conditions. It can be installed on cars with catalytic exhausts pipe.
To minimise emissions and to obtain best performance, the control algorithm detects the best parameters to set motion and speed of the step-motor, in relation to the following factors:
- engine type
- mixer type
- step-motor position
- engine R.P.M.
During warm-up of the oxygen sensor, the system is active and check of the air/fuel ratio starts when the oxygen sensor sends a correct signal. This way to activate the control, that’s not based only on elapsed time from engine start, solves ageing problems of oxygen sensor.
The gas flow is regulated by a step-motor, without need of any adjuster screw to set the same.
The system is adaptive and all data recorded during the calibration phase can be modified in relation to ageing of the engine and its components. This feature enables to maintain the right air/fuel ratio, sparing periodical mechanical calibrations.
To obtain best performances, the system executes advanced checks (ex.: open-loop booster during acceleration phase).
During calibration phase, the system detects work-area of the step-motor to prevent malfunctions of the oxygen sensor or other engine components.
During this phase, it detects, automatically, the TPS even if the system can be installed on cars without TPS sensor. Moreover, the system provides a signal to simulate the oxygen sensor.

TESTER DT301

The tester, connected to the control unit of the system DL401, enables to set working of the same and to check it.
